Had another awful night last night with Annabelle, made me not really want to do anything much today!!

Did manage to get out of bed before 10, to get myself and the girls dressed for a playdate with my American friend Claudia and her 2 kids. I had warned her we might still be in our pj’s, so she was very impressed that I managed to get us all dressed 🙂

10 sounds late I guess, but my girls go to bed at 10pm or later sometimes, so they often wake at 9-10am. It’s what works for me! I’m a night owl!

Anyway, had a great visit with Claudia. It’s nice to have a friend that can relate to my homesickness. She’s been in NZ as long as I’ve been in Nelson, so it’s still a bit harder for her than it is for me.

While she was leaving, Ali came home for lunch, and I made some yummy nachos, American style! I put jalapenos and cream cheese on them too, and they were sooooo tasty!! Unfortunately though, I have been paying for them the rest of the day!

I then put Ella down for a nap, thinking I could get both girls down at once and have a nap (remember, Anna kept me up all night, she should be exhausted!)….Ella went straight down like a big girl…Anna not so much. 45 minutes later and she was still fighting it!! I was expecting my relief society president around that time so had to get up and tidy a bit to receive her! I am doing a cake decorating class at church in Oct, so we had a chat about that. She also brought me a plate of cookies she had baked…..which were sooooooo good! Ali got 2 in the end, and each daughter had 1! 🙂 The rest were mine!

After she left, Anna finally went down while I was talking to my mom on the phone. My mom was really down and it made me sad.

Literally 5 minutes after Anna fell asleep, Ella woke up. I just sighed a big sigh, and gave her a big hug and some afternoon snack. We had a cuddle on the couch and watched Dora together for a while.

This evening was supposed to be my night off, but I’ve been wanting some time with my hubby, so I decided to have a night with him and his racing game. Sounds silly, but we have fun with video games together. Only tonight the girls decided to be really awful and strip clothes, and whine for no reason (even though they were on our laps, or getting some songs sung to them, etc. etc.). So I’m bummed I didn’t just hide in my room for my night off, because now I’m stressed to the max once again!

And once again, Ella is in bed asleep….for the last hour…and it’s quarter past 11 and Anna is not going down. le sigh.

Ah well, I’ll just have to go watch some tv, and hope she tires herself out pacing the dark hall! (she;s so silly) 🙂

Love my girls!! They give the best cuddles!!! Like I said, tired today 🙁
