Tired but too cute to forget

My Ella has moved to her very own bed. I must say, she was SO EXCITED!!! But the problem is, now she doesn’t have to stay in bed!! Her nap today just didn’t happen. She played in her room with the door shut until Annabelle woke and started making noise, then she started crying to be let out!!

Thus, my girls who are not sleeping and not sleeping well were both very grumpy and very tired at about 5pm. I was sitting on the couch with Annabelle, giving her a bottle. She was having some very long, sleepy blinks when my Ella comes staggering over to me with heavy eyes and a soft whine, and climbed up on top of me, into my lap. She snuggled in and within moments was asleep, head on my shoulder, snoring softly. Annabelle finished her bottle, took her binky, and also fell asleep. Alister laughed and offered to take Ella to bed, and I just said to give me a minute. So I took a few minutes, and got to cuddle both my sweet girls as they slept on me. It was such a lovely and rare moment, my heart just swelled with love for these angels. 🙂

Then I let Ali take Ella to her big girl bed, and I put Anna in ours, and we got an hours peace….which meant they didn’t go to bed until nearly midnight….doh!

Also tonight, Annabelle and I had a great old time with her walker/stroller. She’s not walking yet, so when she started playing with it, I stood her up and let her walk to me. Such adorable, awkward steps! She was giggling and grinning, and every time she would get to the end of the room, she would sit down laughing, waiting for me to sweep her up in my arms, give her a cuddle and a high five, and then set her on her way again back the other way!! We spent about 20 minutes doing this, and her enthusiasm never waned, she is SO ADORABLE!! She has the most infectious smile! I had to sic her on her sister in the end, as I was exhausted and needed a breather! Another great moment of the day though.
