Birthday dinner, couple pics ***

Yesterday, Jamie organized a dinner out at Texas Roadhouse with family and friends for my birthday (my birthday isnt until Wednesday, but the weekend was more convenient).  It was supposed to be a surprise, but he wound up telling me a few days early in case I had plans or something.  I was surprised, and excited.  My parents came, my brother and his wife and kids and our friends Courtney and Matt.  I’m a little peeved at Courtney for something stupid.  We were all there at the restaurant waiting for them and Jamie gets a text "Sorry, we are running a little late.  Matt wanted sex before we left".  OMFG grow up and have some taste.  If you are going to be late, don’t freaking tell them that you are making everyone wait because you needed to have sex before you came.  Seriously, who does that?  I think she thought it was funny.  I did not.  They wound up being like 20 mins late.  Finally we told the waitress that we weren’t waiting on them anymore and she took us to our table and we ordered our drinks.  Courtney and Matt showed up just as everyone was ordering their dinner.  The food was really good and didn’t take too long.  Jamie and I brought cupcakes for everyone, and Anna brought some candles for me to blow out.  They wound up sticking 27 candles on one freaking cupcake.  It was funny.  I was worried about the flame lol.   I was worried that we weren’t going to make it to the dinner because the kids had been sick all weekend.  Owen started vomiting on Friday night, and Ethan started Saturday morning.  By Saturday afternoon, Owen was completely fine, so we were hoping it was a short lived bug, and that Ethan would be over quickly too.  He was fine by Sunday afternoon, so we wound up going.  Jamie wasn’t feeling the greatest after dinner, so we stopped by target and then headed home. 

They’re calling for some snow on Wednesday, my bday.  I’m hoping that if we get any, we get ALOT so that Jamie and Owen will be home too.  I’ve asked the parents of the kids I babysit to pick up their kids half day that day so I can spend the rest of the day with just my family have fun with my kiddos to celebrate.

My elliptical is supposed to be delivered tomorrow!  I seriously hope that I love it as much as I liked the ones in store.  I’m worried about it hurting my knees, as some models do.  I’m hoping to buy some hand weights/dumbbells?? sometime soon and start doing some strength training.  I’ve been thinking about it for a while, but I keep talking myself out of investing in the weights.  It’s time to kick this weight loss into high gear!!!
