Rachael Ray’s Pancakes

I haven’t really been up to much today. I did a little cleaning around here. I swept and vacuumed all the floors and took all of the garbage out. I also fed the cats for Kev, he never has time in the morning to do it.  I took a nice bath this morning using the bath and body stuff that my Aunt got for me. It was so nice.

Here is the website I hav been working on for friends and family, to keep them up to date on what is going on with the wedidng planning.

Here is the recipie from Rachael Ray’s Open House Cookbook. It is for  Coutry Flapjacks

Feeds 6 to 8, I cut it in half and it was plenty

3 cups of all purpose Flour

3 Tablespoons of Sugar

2 Tablespoons of Baking Powder

1/2 teaspoon of salt

6 eggs, beaten

2 1/2 cups of half and half

6 tablespoons of butter, melted

Always sift your flour and any other dry ingredients in a bowl to begin. This makes lighter pancakes.

Make a well in the center of the ingredients. Mix the liquids starting with the eggs and add the remaining liquids to that. Dump the mixed liquids into the well, and mix and beat until bater is well mixed. This is for big, fluffy, American Style pancakes. If you overmix the batter, then  you will get thin pancakes.

Cook pancakes over moderate heat. Cook pancakes until they bubble on the top of the batter and the edge are golden brown. The flip side of the pancake will only take a minute or so to cook.

The more recipies that I try, I will post them on here. I really like this one, it was very simple to make. It won over Kevin. In the book it said if you want to add something to the pancakes, crush up  cup full of nuts. Put them in the oven on 300 for 10 minutes and mix them in the batter before you cook the pancakes. I tried that, added with slices of bannana and it was really good.

I hope everyone is having a great day!
