REMAKES AGAIN

Hello folks, as you are all aware by now im a movie junkie, mostly action movies, but im also a person that hates remakes, they take away stuff from the original and it kills it for a newer generation, ROBOCOP will be coming out in feburary, and if you was a kid in the 80s like myself you remember the original, it was campy, it was crazy, the affect was prehistoric……….but that was 80s, so here are some other remakes Hollywood is thinking of doing, but these I somewhat agree on………but only some:

CANNONBALL RUN: Yes,this one I can agree with, it was a 1981 movie starring THE BANDIT himself Burt Reynolds(I often wonder if RYAN REYNOLDS is his son out of wedlock) it was a movie made out of three things know for in the 80s: blond women,fast cars, and lots of action. It was a who’s who of Hollywood at the time, so why not make this one, I can even name some of the people that could be in it……there you go Hollywood, call me.

NEW JACK CITY: ok, really, this movie came out in 1990, and there already trying to remake it………..WHY???? it was drug movie, and I don’t care who you get to play NINO BROWN cause WESLEY SNIPES was the best person for that role, and ICE T…..you cant replace him for that, so just leave it alone please.

ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE: yes folks, rumors is that there thinking of remaking this holiday classic, why not dig up JAMES STEWART and tap dance on his coffin, ARE YOU CRAZY, that movie has been seen every Christmas eve and day for the last 71 years, and its a movie that I don’t care where I am, who im with, or happy or sad…….I will sit and watch it like it was the very first time seeing it……..AND YOU WANT TO REMAKE IT??????REALLY? why not just stop make movies then, cause this would be my last time seeing any, for real.

MAD MAX: being a man that loves action movies, I looking forward to seeing this one, yeah MEL GIBSON was badass as max, from his cool shades to the bad ass ride he had, nobody will ever top that……….BUT……….they have TOM HARDY playing the role and we all remember him from THE DARK KNIGHT RISE as BANE(loved it) so he could pull it off, and having the orginal director doesn’t hurt either, but either way ill find out come 2015.

VANISHING POINT: muscle car lovers will hate this, ive seen the original movie……..and there no way they can remake it, they tried it once already on tv, it starred VIGGO MORTENSEN as Kowalski, but it was nothing like the movie. the challenger in that movie was niiiiice, and barry newman was not a bad actor either, but it was the 70s, acting was secondary, but they should mess with a classic.

THE WILD BUNCH: I love westerns, but this movie was better then that, it was about the old west and the new century. Remaking this movie would be……nuts, for those that have not seen it, An aging group of outlaws look for one last big score as the “traditional” American West is disappearing around them………I love period movies, and the director of this classic movie was even more a renegade then the guys in the movie, Sam Peckinpah, the other movie that I loved by this man……..CONVOY, it was his last one. Don’t mess with this movie man, there no way……no how……….you can get four old buzzards to take out 200 Mexicans in one movie, for one there would be protest, animal rights groups, and everything in between, so remaking this movie is not just wrong…..its nuts.

So ladies and gentlemen, it just goes to show that some of the best movies ever came out of the 20th century, cause now if its not wearing skimpy clothes, washboard abs, driving fast, cussing a lot, killing, killing, or KILLING………..then they tear up the good ones………..FOOTLOOSE ANYONE????? so please…….LEAVE THE CLASSIC ALONE, THERE CALLED THAT FOR A REASON……….SO SAY WE ALL.
