OLD FRIDAY NIGHTS

Friday, the day some of us let our hair down, drink like a fish, and party and hang out with friends, its a celebration of working your ass off for 40 hours of your life you’ll never get back, either your a customer service person that gets cussed out for not doing what the customer wants, or didn’t file that file fast enough, or whatever………….THIS IS THE DAY TO SAY F**K IT, I DID MY JOB, well for me FRIDAYS in the 1980s was the best, I use to come home from school and throw my books in a corner, cause I knew in a very few hours………IT WAS KNIGHT RIDER AND MIAMI VICE TIME, and my mother on her paydays would bring home something already cooked, whether it was WHITE CASTLE, MCDONALDS, BROWNS CHICKEN, TACO BELL, the list was endless, then if got home on time we would go outside and run around with my friends…………that what I remember about Fridays, but I even went further with it, at around 11:00 I would stay up as long as I could to catch………..FRIDAY NIGHT VIDEOS(which sometimes came on at 12:00am…….which was really funny) just to see the latest MICHEAL JACKSON video, so it was a good time of the week for me, I guess it came to me today while I was listening to the radio and the song TONIGHT by GENESIS came on……..it took me back boy, way back, PHIL COLLINS with his four o’clock shadow, yeah Fridays are most about being on computers and playing video games for kids and teens now…………but for me it was WIDE OPEN…………SO SAY WE ALL(long live Crockett and tubbs)
