Winnie the Pooh
Pooh Bear and Piglet have always been two of my most favorite characters. So, I particularly loved this one, which apparently is circulating all over the internets (y’know, that thing with the pipes and stuff’ns)
Things are going well, although I’m pretty busy and there always seems to be something critical on the burner.
In short:
my private chef business is growing a bit, a managable bit. I’m now cooking for my friend’s parents, and my friend’s sister and her husband, starting 2 weeks from now. And they’re building a rental kitchen about 3 blocks from my house, will be open this summer, and I may be a client if their rates aren’t too high. Looks good.
At work: looking good to get company research funds to do my own project for a year. would be wonderful, I get to work on what I care about and won’t have to put up with idiot task leaders and so forth. Got handed a mini research project last week cause they figured I was the one to do it. These are the managers that know I’m trans and are helping me plan the transition – apparently, they really don’t care about the trans stuff. very cool.
At our local TG support group (TGEA: http://www.tgea.net). Yours truly has been elected President, I take office in July for a year. And, Sweety is now Outreach director, responsible for responding to and coordinating TG folks who are requested to come talk to area psych, sociology classes, and so on. Very cool, she’ll be very good at this.
Daughter comes home from school this weekend. She has not investigated any job or work opportunities, and the tide is against her if she thinks she can sit on the couch and veg all summer The problem is, her mom and I can’t think of a good "Or Else"… as in, "get a job or else". what’s the "or else" here?
That’s it, in a 5 minute news summary from our end of the universe. Hope everyone is doing well.
hugs
Jude
“get a job or else i will find 10,000 jobs around here that need to be done and YOU will be doing them and TRUST me, you do NOT want ME as your boss” either she’ll get a job or she’ll be cleaning house, painting, yardwork, washing windows, detailing the cars (with a Q-Tip) for you. god I love Pooh lol.

‘Or else you won’t get ANYTHING out of us’? Depends what makes her go, really! I like the first noter’s idea though!

Oh, I get it. It’s a swine joke.Whew. Daughter:”Or Else, we’ll bring GoodGolly out here to give you her patented Cold Stare.” “Or else you’ll volunteer at soup kitchen when you’re not helping me be Private Chef, at which time you’ll be Less Than Private Chef.”
