Happy Friday!

The weeks have been long and for the most part I have been very busy at work. I am not too busy today and I am grateful for a little break to catch up. 

Last Wednesday we had a personal trainer come to the house and he did a full intake to evaluate where we are. I am nowhere! I have never had a gym membership, because I knew that I would not go. The trainer that has been assigned is female and we will both be working with her. At first separately, because we are in different places and then probably together in joint sessions. It’s a lot of money to be spending to do something I don’t particularly care to do. Actually it is really necessary. I have been walking a half-hour each morning on the treadmill – whoo-hoo; it’s another something I don’t  particularly care to do! This is all about cholesterol and weight management. I have lost some weight and my clothing is fitting much better. I need to make an appointment with the doc to do some blood work.

I am happily watching the buds and the nubbies peek through and although it is raining hard today, the weather has been mostly warm and pleasant.  The fish have survived another winter and we will be opening the pond in about two weeks. They are going to drain and clean it. The fish we be put into basins of some sort.

I’m back to walking at least 30 min on the treadmill and then monitor my steps with a pedometer. I am motivated by health but I do feel better, think clearer, have more energy too, which has become a motivator too. Hang in there!

I need to start walking. I bought pepper spray(for stray dogs in the country where I live and just for people that tick me off…LOL). Seriously, walking is really good for you. Having a personal trainer is even better. If you can afford it, GO for it!!! I had to smile at your “nubbies” comment. Made me think of something else of course. Mr. Nubbs. Hope to see you write more often. Take care. :))

glad you are well. Personal trainer is a great idea as it will encourage you in the tough first weeks. I find the difficulty with sport is beginning. Once its started, it just gets easier and becomes fun.
