I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas. We did and I got lots of toys!. My favorite is a pocket HD Video Camera. It’s smaller than my hand.
I can connect directly to You Tube and upload videos. I think I figured it out, but I get a link and not a screen like everyone else. http://www.youtube.com/watch
We always get carried away and this year was no exception. I also got an Etch-A-Sketch, which I have always wanted. I used to play with them when I babysat and happened to mention it recently. COOL!
We are up VERY early, start opening presents, take a bacon and eggs breakfast break and then go back to opening.
This was our eighth Christmas together.
Lucy and Kody got rawhide bones to keep them busy. More often than not, they want the other’s bone and we have to intervene, which defeats the purpose!
Sometimes it is actually peaceful!

Today I started getting the house back to normal. I put away most of the red and green decorations, but left the tree, a few winterish items and the village. We will take down the tree and the rest of the holiday stuff on New Years Day.
The new year also brings a diet/lifestyle change for me. I have certainly bulked up for this winter (porked is more like it). Everything is way too tight and I have been living in sweats.
I have what appears to be good news; I heard from a different recruiter person (as the man I have been talking with is on vacation). She wanted to make sure I was still available and how much notice I would need to give. Also, she told me that they are still approving this position and I am not really sure what that means, however once again I am waiting to hear from them. This timing is actually quite good, as I do not have work at my current job.
What a neat little video camera – and fun bird videos too! If you’re using WYSIWYG, hit the “source” button on the toolbar when you are in the writing screen, and then paste the “embedded” code from Youtube. Hit “source” again and it will go back to the normal non HTML screen. The video won’t show up until you save the entry. I have a problem with figuring out where exactly it is going to be, since you can’t see where the embedded code is once you’ve gotten out of the source screen, but it does show up in the entry that way. The dogs are SO cute! That is an enormous bone.
