Got Fish?

Yup, we do! We started out with what was called ‘sacrificial fish’ -6 goldfish at twenty-nine cents each. They all lived. Had I known, I would have bought some inexpensive tropical fish – oh well, none are twenty-nine cents. I have some Angel Fish, and an assortment of Gouramis. PetSmart suggested inroducing the fish slowly – just in case….

We still need a backdrop (I am going with plain black, instead of a tropical design), and trim work on the cabinets. I have added a few more plants and removed the sunken ship. The only the ship and bow were put in the tank is because I had them. I have added a coral/rock thingie for color and some more plants; photos, of course, are still in the camera.

Three of the sacrificial goldfish. In the spring, I can add them to the pond.

This is an Opaline Gourami.

And an Angelfish.

In addition to becoming a fish keeper, I have decorated the house and the tree, finished shopping and wrapped my fingers to a nub.

We decided on a much smaller tree this year (compared to other years). Miraculously, Lucy has left it alone, although she has chewed several ornaments. I kept the tinsel off the bottom of the tree and put non-chewables there, as well.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

What a great tank. Good luck with the fish. Years ago we had an oscar that grew over 6 inches in length. It was fun watching him grow. I threatened to cook him for supper but he died a natural death after a long healthy life.
