Lucy

I took Lucy to the vet yesterday morning to be spayed and picked her up at 4:30 PM. She was almost her usual rambunctious self. There is not much that slows down this dog! I put a comforter for her on the living room floor and she rested on it. They sent her home with an Elizabethan Collar, which was beyond ridiculous. We took that right off. They also sent home Rimadyl (for swelling), which is known to cause kidney failure and is mostly used for arthritis. Needless to say, we did not give it to her. She is perky today, but not quite as feisty as usual.

I sent the recruiter an email to check-in/follow up/etc., and heard back that I should be getting an offer in the next week or so (that ‘or so’ is not my favorite expression). After weeks of doing a lot of tedious work, I am suddenly not busy at all, which makes me nutz. Even tedious is better that nothing.

On Monday evening I [finally] went to a meeting of the Photography Club. I enjoyed it and got to present my portfolio. The group seemed to enjoy my work and I loved talking about it. Every meeting has a theme and this one was ‘In the Forest’. Next time is a Christmas Party and the theme is Christmas Past. I have tons of old photos, because I take the tree, the fur-babies and selected ornaments in every possible light.

The fish tank cabinet is coming along, although it does not look as if it is. Linda has been ‘beefing it up’, since the tank will weight about 1000 pounds when full. The next step is to level it, because even if it is off by a hair, it will be a big deal when full.

I took my 7 mos old lab in to get neutered last week and they only gave us gel to put on his incision to stop him from licking it. I found he was okay with out it and after the first 48 hours he would have been back to normal if we didn’t make him take it easy lol he’s pretty crazy! glad lucy took it well! 🙂

You do take the best pictures. Glad to hear that Lucy is home and almost her usual perky self. I’m sure by tomorrow she’ll be back to her old self.
