Maryland

I drove to Silver Spring on Monday morning (left about 5:40 AM). I have a cubicle, a pass to open doors and finally today at 4:00 system connectivity and an assignment. I spent most of the last two days looking for jobs on the Internet and posting resumes for any situation for which I am remotely qualified. I cannot do this on a regular basis. It is way too depressing for me to stay 4 days/3 nights away from home.

So, I am looking and looking. The man who is supposed to set up my second interview (For the KY job that will be remote) is out, as his wife just had a baby. Sucky timing for me.

There is an I-Hop right next to the hotel and I have been eating cheap, yet yummy senior dinners. They have a lot of nerve, they don’t even ask for proof that I’m a senior! Oh well. I am at a Hampton Inn and enjoy the free breakfasts. They pay me $35.00 per day for food, no matter what I spend, so I eat simply and try to stay at Hamptons.

Last night was the Photography Club meeting I wanted to go to. Needless to say, I was super bummed. I put together a portfolio of 8 X 10’s and matted a humorous photo , which was the theme. This is the one I chose.

I’d have issues with being away from home a lot too. Except for vacation. You must have had fun taking that photo. Luck with the job hunt.

I love that photo! I have been joib searching and doing applications, Ive not done this in so many years, I can not believe how different things are these days. My gas tank appreciates me doing all of this in my jammies at home, but everything is so darn impersonal. Good luck with your job search
