Back To Normal
[Whatever that means]. We did not have any damage from the storm, although we did have a lot of rain. The wind was mercifully calm. The pond is again looking as it should and we are enjoying the fullness of late summer blooming.
Lucy has discovered that getting wet is fun. Even greater fun is stealing the floating plants and running off with them. It’s a good thing that they are overgrown at this point of the season.

They do play a lot.
And Lucy is growing up. She was 4 months on 8/27. The good news is that she has been house trained for about three weeks. I never had a dog that trained easier. Now, I need to do something about her obsession for shoes. We will be barefoot in a month if this keeps up!

I feel the need to leave a note because i’m a total dork when it comes to dogs. Are they mutts? I had one who was part black lab and i couldn’t keep him out of the water. Your Lucy reminds me of him. What’s even funnier is that your other dog, Kody, looks like a close cousin of one of my dogs- except that although she has the same white patches, she’s mostly blonde instead of black.

Lovely photos as always. Am glad the storm was a disappointment. I used to babysit people whose dog loved to chew my shoes. They bought several new pairs for me.
