Here She Comes **EDIT**
**EDIT: THIS IS A LATER SATELLITE IMAGE. IT IS RAINING LIKE CRAZY. The pond started to overflow and we were out there rigging up an alternative way to drain the excess. Well Linda was rigging and I was helping. end of EDIT**
I hope it won’t be too bad here, since we are quite inland. It is already raining and has been for a while, but there has not been any high winds yet. Later on will probably be another story. I brought the lightweight outdoor furniture inside, just in case!
Lots has been going on with me. My PA job ended (as I wrote last time) and my next edict is working 3 out of 4 weeks up in Rochester, NY. I know in my heart that I just cannot do that. I have been frantically looking; sending my resume to any job that is remotely local and somewhat what I do.
I have had an interesting bite: A hospital in Kentucky needs someone with exactly my experience. I asked if they would consider someone to work remotely and I was told they will allow it (its new to them and I assure the recruiter that I have been doing it since 1999). It means several trips there, but only as a temporary measure, I am OK with that. It would be an interesting trade-off – working 5 days per week instead of 4, but earning about $8,000 per year more money (works for me). The benefits seem a little better and this hospital has a ten year outsourcing contract with the company that I am interviewing with. This means knowing where I will be working, instead of hoping my next assignment will be tolerable. They have an extensive interviewing process and I am certainly up for that, because it means to means that it is a good company. I had my first phone interview yesterday and the second one is next week. Cool beanies!
This week has been crazy for me, as I have been depressed, but intensely focused on my job search. I have not had any work at all, and have devoted myself to looking for something better. My first reaction was (of course) to panic and then to grit my teeth and focus. They are worn down to a nub by now ….
Be safe, especially with these storms!
I hope that you & your family will be safe as well. Good luck with the job search.

My ex is in the Carolinas and am hoping the storm misses him and you. The Kentucky job sounds great and I hope it pans out for you.

I will keep you in my prayers for the job search. I have a friend back home who has been traveling to Delaware Mon – Fri coming home Fri nights and going back on Sun eves … it is so stressful and he has been doing this for 10 months now … he also is looking for something else … it started out as only a couple of days a week and just boomeranged from that. Prayers for the storms … Iknow they can be pretty devastating when they want to be. Hugs & prayers,

Fingers crossed on the job prospects! We made a trip up through PA yesterday and it was way worse there than it was in Maryland.
