Good News!

Linda and I were cleaning out some algae in the pond. While she was routing around on the bottom, she found a large rock at the opening of one of the fish caves. Right after she moved it away we saw three Goldfish. They seemed quite skittish and a little while after, I gave them some food. Later on, I saw the two long-finned Koi. I kept looking, but SO FAR that’s all I saw. I am very happy that some of the fish survived. Of course I am hoping that I will see the rest of them. I have no idea what happened – how the rock blocked the entrance to the cave, as it was too large to move on its own. Let’s just say I am grateful that I have some fish.

These two are safe.

Linda spent the early part of the day working on the garage, while I cleaned the house. In addition to the barbeque, we have a friend of Linda’s visiting that she has not seen in many, many years. I am looking forward to meeting her. It promises to be quite a busy weekend.

We sat outside while neighboring towns shot off their fireworks. It was noisy and we couldn’t see that much, but very relaxing and enjoyable. I am not a huge fan of fireworks, but will rise to the occasion.

Smart fish that they moved the rock to save themselves LOL. I love your pond. I’m not a big fan of them either but it’s one day. I had a great 4th too. Glad yours was fun.
