My Uni Kitchen Buddies

I’ve been ignoring OD for a bit haven’t I? I really wanted to use OD to record all of my start of uni but I didn’t have my laptop at first and I was too busy getting drunk to spend much time actually writing so…meh. It didn’t happen. So, quick update – uni rocks my left sock.

Had a lovely day yesterday. Or lovely evening. My morning was filled with a business law lecture and late morning.early afternoon was filled with a practical session into ophthalmic lenses. was great fun but made me go very dizzy looking into lenses and wobbling them about. My evening was the best part of the day though. I met Jordan in London. He took me shopping for my birthday present (even though he tried not to make it obvious he wanted help with what to get me). He tried. Then he bought me the most amazing present ever. Alice in Wonderland on DVD. I so totally love him SO SO much. And he bought me the nicest necklace ever and chose it all himself (kind of). But I wont describe that because I’m trying to forget what it looks like before I open it on my birthday. He tried to get me to take it home last night and I refused coz I’ve already had 2 early birthday presents and I wanted something from him on my birthday…*blushes* is that sad?

anyway new people in my life are my kitchen buddies –
Nicole – lovely lovely girl. I get on with her so well. I get the feeling her mates back home made her conform and she was therefore kinda shy around. I don’t give a shit what she does or says as is the case with everyone else in our kitchen so she seems to be enjoying herself and being able to relax and be herself around us. She admitted she was bisexual to me and is now thinking about telling her friends back home. Glad she’s having a good time with this. She’s studying film.

Zoe – studying psychology. Nice girl. Dreds. woo. Little bit of a recluse. At the moment due to the fact that she doesn’t have any ID and so can’t get into pubs and clubs withs us except the Student Union places. She’s just generally quite shy and quiet but loadsa fun when she does come sit in the kitchen with us all.

Laura – studying film too. Another vegetarian but WAY more strict than me. She says ‘like’ a lot but in a REALLY annoying way. “and he was liiiiike…you know liiiiiike…”. But she’s alright really once you get passed that and the fact that she looks doen on you if you do something she doesnt agree with. (Such as me using non-vegetarian toothpaste). Nah she’s nice.

George – such a cutey. So naive. So sweet. SO nice. Can’t fault him except the damn dirty plates every-fucking-where. He’s studying music tech

Phil – man’s man. Big drinker. A DJ. Studying Music Tech too. Loves skiing. Fanatic Ipswich fan. Loves eating. Not fat. Not muscley. Just manly. Love him to pieces. He’s always singing always dancing and always having fun. Always wanting to go out. Love him.

Chris – ah Chris. erm…I think he’s still alive. He’s nice. I’ve got him out a couple of times but generally he hides in his room. All he eats is pasta vinegar and cheese and he keeps all his stuff in his room where we can’t get to it. That is, except his dirty pots pans and plates. he keeps them all over the kitchen where we can’t get away from them.

Yeah so those are my kitchen buddies. Have I forgotten anyone? Don’t think so…

*smiles*

I’ll make more entries from now on.

Lauren xx
