Ciao! I’m back from Italia!

Yes, yes, you read it right. I have returned.
I didn’t want to go on that trip. I was in a major grump about going.

But, I can honestly say, I have had the most amazing time of my life.
Seriously, all I can think of to say is "oh lord."

Where do I start? I’m sure I’ll do a proper entry at some point but…

I’ve been to the coloseum. It is amazing.
Crossed the river Tiber (I’ve been learning about it in latin for 2 years it was great to see it for real)
The Vatican. Sistine Chapel…highlight of the holiday. It is breathtaking. You have to go. You see copies of Michaelangelos work and I didn’t think much of it. I got to the Sistine Chapel and lord. It is truely a masterpiece. The entire place is gorgeous.
I saw John Paul IIs body…nice.
I’ve been to Pompeii. It was kinda ruined by my annoying tour guide but when I went to explore with Ashley it was cool.
I went to Herculaneum. That’s like Pompeii but smaller coz they can’t excavate as much coz there are new buildings on the lava that buried the town. It;s also where the rich lived rather than poor shopkeepers like in Pompeii. And it’s been preserved better.
I saw the Trevi fountain.  Beautiful.
I saw Nero’s wifes villa. The frescos on the walls are so well preserved. My golly some of them were beautiful.
I climbed to the top of Mount Vesuvius. Well, I climbed the last like just over half an hour. In the blistering heat with the thin air being so hugh above the clouds and whilst you’re a smoker and it’s all about at a 35degree angle…man it’s hard. But it’s SO cool. I wrote my name at the highest point i could get to in stones.
The catacombs. OMG SO COOL. That’s like…erm…tunnels underground i guess that they used as like graveyards. I wanted to go and explore all the different tunnels but the guide told us where to go *pouts*They still had bodies down there. sounds gross but it was good

we also visted a few italian towns just to see Italy as it is today

I think that may be enough for now. I’ve been drunk the last 4 nights and drinking every night of the holiday and getting up at either 6 or 7…i’ve had naps on coach journeys but…I’m a tad sleepy.

Whilst I was in Italy two of my friends were killed in a car crash. I spent all of one day crying my eyes out. Ashley forced me to go get drunk with him that night. Me, Ashley and Marie all worked in the same store. Brent’s funeral is Tuesday. Marie’s is Thursday. I still don’t know what happened. All I know is that it was near the hospital.  *sighs loudly* yes, it’s happened again and yes, Marie was 18.
