Bubbles….

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles,
dancing to the surface,
Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles,
pockets full of air.

Descending further and further,
into abyss.
Thinking to myself,
"This is it."

Azure, cobalt, periwinkle blue,
sinking deeper and deeper,
my lungs fill, too.

With a cloud of sand,
I reached the sea land.
The reflection of light,
has been drowned out of sight.

Memories flood over me,
of when I was young,
Now I think to myself,
"What have I done?"

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles,
dancing to the surface.
Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles,
pockets full of air.

Swimming harder and harder,
reaching for the top.
Struggling and gasping,
my breathing has stopped.

Sadness, loneliness, fading away.
Hoping and praying for my life;
now astray.

With warmth around my wrist,
and a sweet subtle kiss,
I open my eyes,
to see the blue sky.

I lay on the pavement,
looking up at a man.
I say to him, "Thank you."
With a soft gentle hand.

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles,
dancing to the surface.
Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles,
pockets full of air.

His face became flushed,
as he started to say,
"I saw you struggling,
wanting another day."

Happy, blissful, tickled pink,
I wanted to hug him,
But could only think,

"Thank you God for answering my plea,
for sending this man who rescued me."

My oldest daughter, Liz, wrote this overnight.  I’m so proud of her talent!
