A Lovely Headline:

“Life is Beautiful”
says the New York Times
laura has found herself a new name.
the etymology is on my front page, if you’re curious.

This week has been filled with sunshine. with waking up before my alarm clock in the morning, going to school and smiling all day, spending the afternoon with my best friend, hanging out in the light booth in the evenings, and ending each night with a “Goodnight, sweetheart; sweet dreams” from the boy.

It was the best week I’ve had in a very long time.

Today, my father tried to convince me that I am just Ryan’s Flavor of the Week. If there is anything I am not to that boy, father said it right there. He could not be more wrong about us. I’m torn between being upset that my father doesn’t trust me enough to pick a good boy to claim for my own…and being glad that he cares enough to look out for me, even if he knows what he says is going to hurt me.

Ryan said we’ll just have to prove him wrong by staying together for a ridiculously long time.
(To be frank, I was planning on it already).

It’s been two weeks tonight (and if all goes according to plan, it’s two days from today).

I have honestly never been so happy.

ryn// that’s okay; i know it was a lot! and i didn’t mean “oh, stupid sixteen year old girl.” i meant “stupid girl who shouldn’t have drank so much.” it wasn’t so much the age as the stupidity. p.s. i think you’re a very mature sixteen, and you definitely don’t write like a sixteen year old!
