People Of The Bus

A foremost collection of neurotics without cars
I suppose we should all be grateful these people don’t drive
An older woman reading Harry Potter
"You’re a little late in catching the trend friend"
A gentleman who always has his book
And has never once put it down
Or even set his eyes away from it for an instant
I see him every Monday morning…
Who am I to speak a word against any one of these people?
I am riding the same bus as they are
Are these truly my people?
Or am I simply trying to reject
That I share their same fate?

very good, it’s not a fate, it’s the journey which you take in the whole of your life, and you either take the journey quietly reading, blinkered to the outside world around you, or swing from the seats and live it
