Hundred-Sixty-Four: You Will Be

Forgive the simple dialogue
and lack of detail.
I am trying to move the story along

.Tanya Faith.& They Meet

Carrying his books, the young wizard made his appearance in the great hall. With a shy smile, he looked at his grand-father with confusion.

“Do I have to stay here?” He questioned.

“Merlin, listen to me. Dumbledore needs you to be assistance to a young female wizard. She is having some issues and is unable to take care of herself. However, you must befriend her and look after her from a distance,” Merlin informed.

“I don’t understand grandfather. You want me to stay here and take care of someone I do not know? I don’t understand. I don’t feel like I belong here.”

“Merlin – I feel like I have kept you from the outside world too long. I should have learned you better social skills. This is going to be the best place for you to learn. Besides, you will get to meet Harry Potter. You told me once you wanted to join Dumbledore’s army.” Merlin said giving his grandson a hug.

Letting out a sigh, the young wizard surrendered to his grandfather’s request.

He slowly walked up the stool that was waiting for him. Dumbledore placed is hand on his back.

“Good afternoon students, professors, and staff. Today it is my great pleasure to announce the arrival of a new student: Merlin Anderson. He is the descendant of the great Merlin you are all familiar and read about. Together, he and I have seen a lot of darkness and light in the wizard world. In fact, he is here as we speak. Give him a round of applause!” Dumbledore roared as everyone clapped. “I know you all would love to meet him but he is a busy wizard and must retreat back to Camelot, however, make his grandson feel welcomed here!” Dumbledore stated.

Sitting on the stool, Dumbledore placed the hat on Merlin’s head as he monologue to himself.

“I see bravery in you young warlock. I can see loyalty, charisma, and honor. You have much of the traits your grandfather inherited.” The sorting hat looked around the room. “Ah, young Merlin, I also see very strong intelligence and a drive for morality. The question is Gryffindor or Ravenclaw?” The sorting hat pondered for a moment. “I can see in your head you want Gryffindor. You must not be a follower or compare yourself to Mr. Potter. In your own light, you have strengths of your own. In this case, I can see your soul belongs in….”

The room turned quiet as they waited on the sorting hat’s response. “Ravenclaw!”

“Ah yes! Ravenclaw will welcome you with open arms. It is the table, Merlin, with the blue banner above it. Please be seated.” Dumbledore said as he guided Merlin in an empty chair beside of Tanya and winked at Merlin’s grandfather.

Sitting his books down in front of his feet, Merlin shyly smiled. He didn’t feel as if he belonged here. He wanted to be in Gryffindor – where all the great wizards reigned but he accepted his fate with stride.

“Welcome to Ravenclaw,” Kaden said as he stuck out his hand.

“A vampire?” Merlin withdrew his body. Kaden let out a quiet laugh.

“My brother and I – we’re vampires – but we won’t harm you, or anyone…unless we have to. Don’t worry,” Kaden said.

“How old are you?”

“17.”

“How old are you really?” Merlin questioned.

“Centuries but I am 17. My body just ages much slower.” Kaden informed.

“My grandfather was once in alliance with vampires. He fought against the Dark-Lord Darkous and his people,” Merlin replied taking a bite of food.

Zeke and Kaden gave each-other shifting glances. “I know. He saved our life once.”

“I’m Ezekiel Shadows but people call me Zeke.”

Tanya gave Merlin a shifting glance. She still could feel the veela inside her waiting to be released, but she tried to fight it.

“Tanya Delacour,” she simply stated.

“Long silver-blonde hair, beautiful features, charming I’m sure.” Merlin gazed at her. “My lady, is it okay if I make the assumption that you are a veela?” Merlin asked.

Tanya let out a giggle. “You talk funny.”

“I am not from this century either.”

“Chivalry is dead.” Tanya looked up at Merlin.

“My lady,” Merlin rolled his eyes.
