Zeke walked toward his dorm silently. The thoughts whirled around his head in waves. He couldn’t grasp the concept. How could his brother be so cruel? Kaden was trying to take the only person that really mattered to him. He couldn’t stomach it.

“What happened in there, mate?” Cedric asked.

“I don’t know.” Zeke looked puzzled as he kept walking to the Ravenclaw dorm.

“If I were you, I wouldn’t stand for that. I know that Kaden has been seeing my sister and now he’s trying to take his brothers girl too. If something doesn’t stop, he’s going to end up hurting both of them. I can’t stand to see Kayleen have another bad year.” Cedric placed his hand on Zeke’s shoulder. “I don’t want to interfere but I don’t want to see her hurt….”

“I understand. I just need space to think about it. Besides, weren’t you trying to dance romantically with Tanya at the ball?” Zeke questioned with a sharp look in his eye.

“I uh….gotta go!” Cedric waved as he scurried to the Hufflepuff dormitory. Zeke shook his head in amusement as he kept walking.

Sitting on the corridor couch, he found her. She was sitting there holding her head in her hands as tears streamed down her face.

“Are you okay?” He asked as his instincts kicked in.

“I don’t know anymore, Zeke. I just…I don’t know.” She simply answered.
