Told From 3rd Person POV

Soaked with a mixture of water, despair, and sorrow, Kaden looked into the Delacour house and made his way toward the giant patio door. Before entering, he watched Harry and Tanya dance and be lost in their own world. He silently looked through Harry and monitored Tanya’s movements. With each step, she gazed deep into Harry’s eyes and for a moment: a sense of passion. She didn’t even look at Zeke the way she was looking at this man right now.

He softly entered the room as all eyes flung on him. Still dripping from the lake, he removed his trench coat and placed it on the ground. The butler gave him a suspicious look but Kaden didn’t care. He slowly walked closer and closer to Tanya. His eyes didn’t move from her grace. Pushing Harry out of the way and taking her hand, he began to slowly dance with her until their movements were synched.

I’ll never be your mother’s favorite

Walkin’ with that troublesome guy”

She looked up at Kaden with a smile and oblighed to his dance offer. Harry stood with his arms folded but couldn’t protest. Tanya rested her head on Kaden’s icy wet chest for a second but the cold was just too much for her to take.

Getting lost in the rhythm of the music, they danced around past midnight.

“Why are you wet?” She whispered in his ear.

“No reason. Let’s just enjoy our moment.”

Just as they were beginning to get lost in their own little world, Zeke came out of the guest room with his injury. He was holding his side.

“Hey guys. I’m sorry I slept for so long!” He laughed sleepily as he made his way to Tanya. “Can I have this dance?”

Looking back at Kaden who motioned her to take his offer, she gave Zeke a lazy grin. Her eyes may have been on Zeke but her mind was with Kaden, maybe even Harry. Inside of her mind, a fragile state was inside her. She didn’t know what or who heart wanted anymore and the confusion was eating at her soul.

Tomorrow, everyone but Alana would be heading back to Hogwarts. With the newfound emptiness, Tanya sat and thought how she would carry on her life with these thoughts in her head.
