[6 weeks]

I can’t believe how fast time is passing! somebody make it stop! She is growing like a freaking weed. She is so much more "awake" now. Before when she wasn’t sleeping she was eating. Now she eats most of the time but the rest of the time she wants to be entertained. She’s cooing like crazy and it’s adorable. She has angry coos, sad coos, happy coos, just woke up coos. <3 She is still sleeping great, 4-5 hours so we only get up once, maybe twice at night (depending on if we go back to sleep after her 8:30 feeding). She’s also still very upset about the fact that she can’t sit or crawl yet. It’s all she tries to do. Especially sitting, anytime I put her reclined in her swing or anywhere else she starts grunting trying to sit up. We still can’t hold her like a baby- she wants to be upright, looking around. Everyone tries to hold her like a baby and is like, "Why is she so unhappy when I hold her?", even though I JUST told them she likes to be held upright.

We are house of the sickies right now. I’m really hoping she doesn’t get it. I keep listening to her trying to see if she sounds congested or trying to figure out if she’s sneezing more than normal. So far she seems fine. Jonathan has been dying for like two days though and now I feel horrible, too.

I didn’t have my sling to nurse her in and we were at a table, not a booth, where it wasn’t very easy to feed her and the whole thing was kind of a mess. These pictures were the only time she was happy the whole meal.

Christmas Day. We don’t have any money so Christmas was kind of depressing. We exchanged no gifts…I cried that morning but the rest of the day turned out to be OKish. Definitely hoping for a better Christmas next year. Last years was so good and I was so sad that Adelaide’s first was so lame, even though she won’t remember it at ALL.
