39 weeks 6 days

Last night at 39w5d.
 
I like how my ticker says "1 day left". It sounds so sure of itself! I on the other hand am sure there is NOT one day left, although the way I’m feeling right now, if this baby gets any lower she’s just going to fall out. I should take another picture, I think I’m lower than when I took that picture last night.

I had a midwife appointment tonight and everything looks good. Measuring 37cm so baby is definitely nice and low, midwife says she’s in the "perfect position". She’s guessing she’s at or just below 8 lbs. At my next appointment (next Monday), I will be officially "overdue", so we’ll begin non-stress tests (20 minutes of fetal monitoring, then a quick ultrasound to check fluid levels) twice a week, until baby comes or an induction becomes necessary (at 42 weeks I could request one, but I can also reject one if everything looks good). I love that they’re not induction happy but I’m hoping she comes soonish just because I really don’t want to go in twice a week, lol.

Cannot believe I’m due tomorrow. Where has the time gone?! Ahhhh.

I think I’m finally nesting. The house is mostly clean and ready. Today I cleaned out a big portion of the garage and organized my laundry area, which was a gigantic mess, so I don’t have to worry about that once she comes. I had SO many clothes and towels to put away and that’s all done now. I organized the baby’s room a lot- got her changing area ready, organized her diapers, bibs, socks, first aid supplies, etc…yesterday we went to Once Upon A Child because I started freaking out about her lack of wintery clothes, so I washed all of those and hung them up. I made some ice packs for the cooler (for the placenta). Tomorrow I want to tidy up the master bedroom, maybe organize the garage a bit more, get all of the rooms vacuumed, and get all of our blankets washed because they smell like dog. 🙁 

I’m pretty freaking ready to meet my squish, but I don’t mind if she waits a few more days and lets me finish up the things I want to do. Thursday or Friday sounds good 🙂 My doula scheduled a meeting Thursday evening so I don’t think she’s planning on anything happening before then, lol.

Ok, I need to get to bed soon. I have this paranoia lately of getting too tired, because then what if I wake up a couple of hours after going to bed in labor and I’m not very rested? Haha.
