My entry box is tiny right now! I have no idea why…

I’m back from Mexico! I’m glad to be home, but I’ve been sick since the first morning I woke up here. I was very sick for my first day back to work, I had a terrible sore throat and was trying to not throw up the entire way to work. I didn’t even want to go in, because I didn’t want to expose them all to that, but I had a full day’s worth of dogs booked up, so I went. My dogs weren’t terrible, but they were all…weird. I haven’t had to knock so many biting mouths away from my hand in a long time. My co-worker, Jessica, said she’s going to get an astrology chart to hang by the appointment book, so we know when to expect a batch of insane dogs. It’s so strange to me how there’s days like that, where a bunch of regular dogs who are normally fine, all come in acting just nuts. One of mine yesterday was fine all throughout the groom, and then I turned him around to do the other side, so he was looking at the wall, and he started growling at it and wouldn’t stop for a few minutes…

I missed the dogs while I was gone. I was actually surprised how much I missed being around dogs.

Speaking of animals, as irresponsible as it may be, I’m going to pick up a female hamster in the next couple of days to breed with the last male I have alive…he’s like, 5th generation in my hamster family, and the idea of letting the family die out is just…unsettling in a way I can’t explain, so I want to get at least one set of babies from him. I have homes lined up for a few already, and there’s a pet store I really, really like that’s always willing to buy them from me…they’re actually where I got my first set. Normally I would never want to give them to a pet shop, but I’ve known the people at this one for probably 5 years, and I really trust them.

(P.S. Part of my desire for my hamster to have babies might be my intense baby fever that I’ve got to help SOMEHOW. I miiigggghhht volunteer to bottle feed a kitten sometime soon, too.)

I need to get to Trader Joes at some point today, to get pet food and something for dinner…so far I haven’t felt like doing much of anything, though. I have some motivation to clean today, but I’m too sick…I hate how it always works out that way.

I’ll post the photos from the trip soon…I haven’t even got them on the computer yet, but I’ll try to get to that today. A lot of them are iPhone photos, but there’s some from the Rebel, too.

P.S. Now that I’m back, I’m going to start trying to write more. I’m not sure how it will work out, but I am making a goal of it.
