I normally don’t read other diaries.
I sometimes wonder if people get offended that I don’t read their diaries. It’s nothing personal, and there are a few people who note me that I have grown fond of. I occasionally go and read and comment, but it’s rare.
There are a few reasons, one of them being time. I don’t want to spend all day on this site as I used to during the first iteration.
Secondly, this is for me to come and keep memories of my life. I usually write and then go on to something else. I do care about the people on here. I just don’t feel compelled to read about their lives. It’s not who I am.
The last couple of days have been pretty dull in some regards.
I have found myself giving a few people advice. It was for the most part impromptu and what they needed to hear vs what they wanted to hear. All three thanked me, and it turns out the advice was exactly what they needed to hear.
Somehow, my whole life has been about helping others and giving advice. The majority of the time it’s spot on and in a way they need to hear it. Hey, no one’s perfect and sometimes the information I’m given isn’t the complete picture. Telling the truth to the person you want help from is vital to get good advice – just an FYI.
Yesterday I set a 14-day goal of deep cleaning my entire house.
The front room is done, a good start on my room today. It will take another day of cleaning.
I did reestablish my meditation area, and now all that is required is getting back into the habit of using it.
After my roommate left for the weekend, I suddenly became very lonely. If anyone out there in OD2land wants to communicate, I’m up for it. I’m dull most of the time, but I do give good advice. References available upon request.
Medhia now has one of my favourite mala on her urn. It looks pretty.
I found myself missing all three cats today. One of the good things about my brain damage is I can’t really remember much about them. That takes away a lot of the emotions from the equation.
That happens with people as well. Generally, if I don’t see someone for two weeks, they are “gone” from my mind. I may have some memories that pop up from time to time, but unless there is a trigger, they are virtually non-existent. It sounds cold, and many people tell me that; however, it’s not intentional.
Well, I’m off to have my bedtime snack and watch something. It’s nice having OD2 back up and running after it being offline yesterday.
Tonight I just wish I had something more exciting to document.
@Axalotal: It’s okay if you don’t read. We read you and note you!! LOL. Sounds like you are dong well, helping people, and this is a great quality to possess. I for one, like this in a person. What is a “mala?” Sorry I really could look it up, and just may!! don’t be hasty to reply in a note, LOL!!! 😜:
@butterfly4him a mala is an eastern term for prayer beads.

@wildrose_2 Good job! One room a day is an easy way to make a huge task look easy and small.
It sounds like you have a plan! Clean your kitchen, get a new stove. That’s a pretty good deal.
Remember the before and after pictures. They’re a good motivator. Happy cleaning weekend!

There’s your truth, my truth, and the *real* version lies somewhere in the middle. 🙂
