When I use just “friends” toggle, I see myself.

I’m having another date with my high school friend.  She’s flying out Friday morning so wants to come here Thursday night.  I’m ecstatic.  This is such exciting news.  She’s just one of those people who challenge me, smarter than me, and is beautiful in every sense of the word.

My echo dot shipped today; a day early, and said it would be here by the 11th.  However, once I see the tracking, I’ll know for sure.  My guess is I’ll get it before then.  I’m excited.  I’m starting with my bedroom.  Eventually, I’ll have my whole house wired and smart.  However, there may be a problem with the switches.  It seems I don’t have a neutral wire.  This development means installing smart switches is much more complicated and requires an electrician.

There are no connectivity devices coming so really I’ll have a glorified digital encyclopedia until next month.

OH OH OH! I moved my Kinect in front of my TV, and I think the Xbox shut it off. I can’t remember if I shut off the TV or not. I really should test this and see if it works.  Hey, it works. So the hours I spent trying to get it to connect and the research I did, NOWHERE was there a suggestion that the sensor had to be in front of the TV.  Nevermind, it works sitting on top too.  I don’t understand. It didn’t work until after I used it today.

This is wonderful since the only input to the TV is the Xbox.  Plus I can voice command it all.  So much more comfortable than remembering to do 13 things as I’m going to bed. I usually leave the Xbox or TV on.  Plus,  it’s one less smart plug I need.

This morning one of the squirrels took an apple core and stuffed it into a birdhouse.  The lil guy was struggling so bad.  He came back later to get it, and Dancer; I think it was him, had stolen it.  I love my squirrels.  But I suspect they don’t care about me.  I’m just a food source.

My new Bluetooth speaker is terrific.  The music sounds so much better than my laptop or phone.

Tomorrow I think I’ll wrap my presents for my mom and her husband.  When I do, I’ll include photos of the joke.

It’s always nice when the person who does the blood draw gets it on the first poke.  The usual woman was back this time, and she’s so good.
