Home Buddy

So. I’m trying to write more. lol

I haven’t got anything to talk about, really! Did I talk about the meeting with school of ed and how they did a little "come to Jesus" talk with me? It was basically them saying they didn’t think I could do the internship, that I just couldn’t do it.. and they wanted to be reassured that I could and knew how hard it would be. Basically trying to discourage me from doing it, and they were adament. It was nuts.

OH! AND ALSO! My ex boss withdrew her recommendation letter. I had to get another one, and they wanted to know why it was withdrawn and what happened. New letters had to be "professional" references.. uhm… so I had a co-worker from UWE who is also a graduate from the SoE BA program and is a substitute teacher in the summer time write one, and I had Sarah, Siri’s mom, write another one for me. She’s written some for me in the past for other situations, too. So there’s that. Huge pain in the ass, but the letters were very nice and Im glad I got more than 1. They tried to say that Heather’s didn’t count because she wasnt a professional reference, but Jann told me that one could be a personal reference and the other be a professional one… apparently not! So they wanted two new ones either way, but told me it would be fine if I just got 1. Way to nit pick, assholes.

Anyways. I dont know what to say.

It’s summer for real now, which means we’re outside all day every day, and it’s SO nice out. 70s-80s every day all week, we’ve had the sprinklers out a lot and just been loving it. I keep re-injuring my ankle, so it’s hard to run around with the kids as much as I want to. Stupid ankle.

Other than that, nothing really going on. House is always full of kids, I have a 7yr old all day, like 7:45-5:30. He’s kind of nice, Kasin plays with him pretty well most of the time, but he’s kind of annoying, always has to be first, very demanding and whiny if he doesnt get his way, just kinda… whiny, I guess. With Kasin, not with me. He’s very polite with me.. but Kasin gets annoyed by him and is mean back, and it just gets ugly every now and then.. lol… as I imagine it would be like if he and his brother were closer in age. Haha…

Which reminds me, Milo has been beating up Kasin a lot, lately.. like poking him in the eye with legos and stepping on him and throwing toys at him.. stuff that actually hurts! Kasin knows better than to hurt the baby, so he just sits there and lets him.. lol. It’s SO annoying, because Kasin comes crying upstairs that Milo hit him or whatever, and I’m like, "He’s a BABY! How could he have hurt you?!  lol

We have another kid to babysit starting tomorrow, he’s like 845-615, He’s the 3 1/2 yr old vegetarian. His mom is vegan and she has lupus and is in AA and all this crazy stuff, her kid is just going to be in town visiting for June and July, and they’re paying me $600/mo to babysit while Mom is working. OH, and the kid’s dad just had a sex change and his name is Kelly now. They’re paying me tomorrow, too! WOOT! $300 twice a week, rather than all of it up front, but whatever. The older kid’s mom hasnt paid me yet, but she’s paying $500/mo. (Her kid is older and potty trained, so I didnt charge her as much… School Age vs Preschool rates.) But, if she doesn’t pay me by the end of the week, I’ll ask her what’s up with when she’s gunna be paying me.. lol

I’m SO sleepy! ARGH! I shouldn’t be this tired, I got to sleep in a bunch! Blarg.

Bedtime.

ryn: AHAHAHA I just read this entry (the ONLY one updated on my list, mind you) then I went to check my notes. It’s been so long since you’ve noted me that I first wondered who the hell was “STILL loving” that entry. lol I love you. 😀 I do! And I’m sorry I didn’t recognize your diary name. But also, I wanna know TOO! No one is stepping up, though.

I think it is super ****ty that your ex-boss withdrew her letter, I mean really? WTF. Seems childish to me. Your Milo stories crack me up! I’m sure it isn’t always funny to you, but he is such a handful!

RYN: Oy, the insurance. To carry Cory, I will have to pay an extra $150 month penalty because he doesn’t have his own insurance/doesn’t have it elsewhere. That’s not even with the actual insurance coverage. I have to pay another $80 for the coverage, everything comes out of pocket until we meet a $300 deductible, including medication. So basically, I would be paying $230 a month for insurance

…that will never be used. We will never meet a $3000 deductible over the course of a year. They aren’t even doing co-pays. It’s ****ty. Basically I have to drop him and he’ll have to go to income-based clinics. So many people in this area worked for my company just because the insurance was so good. Not so sure about that now.

Cory’s psychiatrist appointments and anti-psychotics are expensive, but he’s not $3000 a year expensive.

P.S. The deductible is three thousand dollars, not three hundred like I wrote in the first note, but now I can’t delete it.
