Arsenal!*

Ugh, Milo has this horrible cough and we took him to the doctor, he apparently has Reactive Airway Disease, which is basically very sensitive airways that react just like they have asthma whenever he has an irritant or respiratory distress of some kind… this is also means that he is very likely to end up with full-blown asthma later on. He also has excema, which I cant spell, and he’s had that since he was a teeny little baby… so that makes him about 50% more likely to be asthmatic than other children, and now this on top of it.. we may as well just accept that he’s asthmatic now and deal with it. They gave him a prescription inhaler and a spacer. Poor little baby. He HATES it, and he screams and cries hysterically whenever he SEES IT.. he has to take it every 3-4 hours until his cough clears up.

Milo turned 2 yesterday, and we told him that since it’s his birthday, and he’s two now, that means he’s a big boy now and isn’t a baby anymore. So when we say things like Ïs that Baby’s blanket?" he says "NO! I’m Milo!"  lol or if you ask him, "Are you a baby?" he says "Nooo, I not baby. I’m Milo!" Bittersweet! He’s still MY BABY! But we’re trying to motivate him to give up his binkies and start using the potty.

At current, he refuses to use the potty. He will wander around naked and when he needs to pee, he comes to me and asks me for a diaper. "Momma, diaper on?" he’ll ask. I got him a folding Sesame Street potty seat for his birthday, and he likes that a lot better than he likes the frog potty. He’ll sit on that willingly. He still hasn’t peed on it, though. He used to pee on the potty from time to time, and then when he figured out that we liked it, he decided not to anymore. Jerk. He has made it into a major power struggle. He doesn’t seem to be scared of the potty, I think he’s just being willful. He’s smart enough to use the potty, he just doesn’t want to. He knows enough to HOLD IT until I put a diaper on him, so he can definitely get trained, he just doesn’t want to. I’m going to encourage him to sit on the potty and talk about the potty a lot until Spring Break next month, and then I’m going to take a Friday and a Monday off of work and hard core potty train him for four days straight, no diapers, just a four day potty party. Kasin took about a week to get it down solid, I think Milo will be a toughie. They’re going to have him sit on the potty at daycare, too, just at diaper change times for now. We’ll see how it goes.

So I downloaded the Livestrong/Daily Plate app on my phone so I can log meals and keep track of calories. I’m also using SQ supplements that give me energy, repress my appetite, and increase my metabolism. You drink it twice a day and it makes you feel fuller so you don’t snack as often/eat as much, and it has a lot of caffeine in it, too, so that’s nice. Wakes me up. Makes me all fidgetty so I wanna go do stuff. lol

I’ve only been doing it for a week, but it’s going well 🙂

I got blocked from Facebook for 3 days because I posted a really cute photo of Milo sitting on the potty. There was no boy bits or booty in the picture, I made sure not to show anything! Anywho, I’m super irritated about this, because I have a ton of photos of Milo’s birthday party to post and tag people in.

Lame.

He had an excellent party, it was really fun and lots of people came, the food was great, Milo was pretty well behaved, no huge issues or dramas. Good time 🙂 NOW TIME FOR CAKE!
