It’s all happening

This weekend is another one for the books.

The week was a bot of a roller coaster. Wednesday night I said my final goodbyes to Rachel and Scott, after fully bringing them up-to-date on the Joey situation, of course. I already miss Rachel a lot, and it sucks being at work without her.

So the week was mixed with sadness, happiness and much anticipation.

Joey called my Friday night on his way back to the cities, and since I had to work at 6 the next morning, I told him it would be better to wait and see each other until Saturday. We still had a good talk, it’s amazing how we can just blab on about nothing. That’s something I have been wanting for a really, really long time.

Saturday was a great day at work. I completed my first 4-tier wedding cake from start to finish. I was so excited and proud of myself. It’s funny…when I fist started at Cashwise, I remember being so proud of putting a border on a cake and some sprinkles. I’ve come a long way 🙂 I also did a cake in the shape of a sour patch kids box, it was pretty awesome.

I left work and got ready, Joey had planned to be there at 4. "Take your time, but hurry up"

I walked down to greet him and luckily I brought my keys down. I did this like skip/leap thing towards him and yeah..it was good to see him. We walked upstairs where we quickly talked about Summerfest and how he would like to go to it with me. "You have awesome taste in music and I think seeing live music with you would be so much fun." Then we were pretty much inseparable for the next 3 hours. I did introduce him to the movie "Almost Famous" and he said he really liked it. We give each other ‘homework assignments’ during the week. It’s so cute I want to barf. 🙂

Anyways, after the movie we did more laying around and then headed to The Bulldog. He tried to sit on the same side of the table as me, I immediately made fun of this. We had some beer and some food, were going to go to The Otter, but we were both exhausted. When we got back to my place, we got ready for bed and he talked to me and rubbed my head until I fell asleep. I woke up at one point, debating if I wanted to get up and pee, he either was awake or I woke him by moving, but he reached over and grabbed my hand. I fell back asleep immediately. We slept super late today, but it was needed. It was actually Mow that woke us up, apparently we were sleeping to long. I mean, he pulls me over to him and one thing leads to another…

Afterwards he was like, "let’s wait like 15 minutes til we get up, I want to lay here for awhile."

After that I got up and we got dressed and ready. "I’ve got a crazy idea, I want you to meet Harvey (his dog) and since it’s nice out, we could grill some food." I was all over this idea. So he drove us to his parents, I met his adorable dog and then we went grocery shopping. We felt pretty domestic. We cut veggies and the bread and went out to grill. While we were waiting for it to get done, he seriously went to his mom’s garden and cut flowers and put them on the table. Right? After dinner, I sat on the couch with Harvey and read while Joey packed up the rest of his stuff. The ride back to my place was romantic and sad.

I offered to just follow him to his parents so he wouldn’t have to drive me all the way back. "Yeah it makes sense, but selfishly, the drive will give me like a half more hour to be with you."

He seriously says things like that. And it isn’t like forced, it is honestly just like he is saying what he is thinking. Crazy, right? haha

I still can’t believe how this ended up. That this guy standing by the lilac bush, came out of nowhere and is making me feel this happiness that has been wanting to come out of me for so long.

Rachel texted me last night, "Broey"

Yup, I know, ridiculous. 🙂
