One More Week…

"They" say the world will end next Saturday.  Whatathought.  I mean really!  Imagine your life thinking the world will end in a week.  Mine would be way different!  

I’m driving a truck again, so I would go to Joplin… stopping in Topeka on the way.  I’m in Council Bluffs, IA, right now… it’s next to Omaha, where the company terminal is.

I went to North Dakota last week.  I leave tomorrow for Louisville, KY.  They are keeping me busy and that’s great!

I am still crushing over my cougar boy toy, Jason.  He’s 29.  I adore him.  But I keep in the back of my mind that this is not a permanent, long term, stable bonding type of relationship.  I’d sort of like to have one of those, but with my job, it’s impossible.  So I see Jason once a month when I go home and it works out pretty good for both of us.  We text nearly every day and talk on the phone once a week or so.

He’s like the male version of me.  We have the same quirks and like the same weird stuff.  I have NEVER had so much in common with someone.  Too bad he’s 29.  I just can’t ever take a relationship like that TOO serious.  He doesn’t have time to be enough for me either, but I understand why.

The future ex-husband, Bill, and I still talk once or twice a week.  Trucking stuff.  We don’t talk about our relationship anymore, thank god!  I told him I wanted to remain in touch, but there was NO WAY I’d EVER go back with him, so if that was his hope, he needed to put it out of his mind.

I didn’t get my home time in April because they didn’t have any freight for me over Easter and I sat around for four days, then couldn’t afford time off.  Bummer.  The first time I have worked on my birthday since 2000.  I did get 24 hours off at the house and Jason came and spent the night with me, so that rocked!

Nothing else monumental going on in life right now.  Just needed to touch base.
