That dog!

Dear Diary,

He walketh on very thin ice!  Thinner than the ice outside at any rate.

I returned from the school run to find a trail of rubbish – the bin had been emptied and the contents spread liberally across the house.  This is bad, but there was worse.  In his quest for anything edible (he was fed this morning) he had got hold of a new bag of porridge oats in tandem with a bag of sesame seeds….these were exploded across my kitchen – along with some dried chillies which gives me some solace as they are hot buggers!

Worse was to greet me as I delved deeper into the mess.  He had broken the lid of my slow cooker

That dog is toast!

Not least as today was meant to be brisket day.

Rolled brisket with bits of garlic and thyme shoved in and around it, left to ever so slowly cook all day.  Now this I can do in the oven – I will probably use enough electric to buy a new ruddy slow cooker if I do.

So, I found the super glue, and a lacky band.  With a wing and a prayer in about ten mins the lid may be repaired enough for use today…..not a long term solution I grant you.

Fi

Very naughty Pom Dog. What be his punishment? The naughty step?

Will the super glue not heap up as it cooks? HOpe it works…yes, dogs are gorgeous but sometimes, just sometimes…
