you never knew how much i loved you,

never knew how much i cared.

you never knew how special my life was

simply by you being there.

you never knew how much you changed me,

the good you brought into my life.

you never realized what i sacrificed

to keep you by my side.

~~~

you never knew you were my first love

and that i wanted you to be my last.

you never knew the way your love made right

the wrongs deep in my past.

you never knew you were the first one

that i opened my heart to.

you never knew that when i found you

i found part of myself, too.

you never knew the pain i went through,

or the doubts and wounded pride.

you never knew the times you broke my heart

’cause i kept it all inside.

you never knew you were my best friend

and that i’d give my all to you.

you never knew i’d give you this whole world

’cause you never asked me to.
