To eliminate the daily stress of dealing with OD pop-up ads, go here. Scroll down until you fing a freeware program called “Nopops”. Download the program.

After you have downloaded the program, open it. Click “Add”. Add these two words:

DO NOT add the word:

Because then you will be unable to read all notes. This program automatically closes popup windows based on the name of the window. So it’s important to include the space and the dash after the word “ad”.

There will be an icon in your desktop tray that looks like little blue windows. When the red “X” is in the box, Nopops is active.

I hope this proves helpful to many other OD authors who are fed up with OD pop-ups but can’t find a better online diary alternative.
