1st Month Over

Hello ladies (I always feel cool saying that),

1 month down, 20 months to go. Then I’ll have my Bachelor’s degree.

Every month is a different set of 2 classes. This month I finally finished English Composition and Game Design Fundamentals.

I’m pretty sure I got an A in both classes, but I wont know for a few more days.

In Design Fundamentals, we spent the whole month designing a game for a genre we were assigned. My group was assigned Survivor/Horror game. So we came up with a pretty good game. I took over the task of combining all of our documents into one giant book, called the “Game Preliminary Design Document”. It’s 48 pages. We took it to a printing store to have it turned into a book with hardcovers. It came out beautifully. And on the last day of class (today), we gave a powerpoint presentation to the rest of the class showing off our game.

Next classes are… “Programming 1”, and “Calculus and Trigonometry”. The books are heavy…

And I’m scared. It’s going to be hard. But we’ll see.

In other news,

I woke up at like 4 in the morning because it was freeeeeeeezing cold.. But I couldn’t turn off the fan because then I’d be sitting in absolute silence… which I am afraid of. So I just shivered in bed for about 3 hours.

Brooke told me that Wal Mart sells noisemakers for $10. Machines whose only purpose is to provide gentle sounds to help you sleep. I think that would be a good solution to my problem. I’m gonna go get one tonight.

You southern folks probably never heard of a space heater, but the right one = great white noise + warmth.
