Opening Up

Well hello readers,

Today was a pleasant day at work. It was a pleasant day over all. I’ll try to start from the beginning and work my way through, but I lack of the power of “Catch The Spark”ism so I may skip stuff and go on too long about some stuff while not covering another topic enough…

Well I stayed up till 0130 helping a buddy of mine reach level 70 on World of Warcraft. That’s true friendship there. Because I wanted to go to bed at 2200,… but I knew he’d do the same for me… so I stayed and helped him do all these quests. He finally dinged level 70. Now he’s maxed like me. =)

Then I went to bed. I woke up at 0730 ready to beat the shit out of my alarm clock but I reminded myself that he’s just doing his job and that he probably doesn’t like it either… So I spared him but gave myself another 30 minutes of sleep. =)

I got to work at 0900. I was ready to… make a difference. My coworker didn’t feel like working though, and asked if I could give him a ride to his house so he could pick up his computer. I said sure. He lives waaaaaaaaaaaay the fuck out of El Paso. It was a 45 minute drive. But the beautiful Rock and Roll soothed me. And my coworker and I started talking about music…

Well… He has a guitar at his house… and he showed me his guitar… It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever laid eyes on. And what’s worse – he hooked it up for me… and let me strum it.

Oh My God.

Now I want a guitar. I just might get myself an accoustic electric guitar. =) God I love the sound of a guitar when strummed just right. It breaches straight into my soul and makes me feel so much better.

It would cost $700 total really for a good complete guitar set from what he told me… but I’m still obsessed over it. It… was fantastic. I confess I can’t play a guitar for shit… but I am willing to learn. What would you think of me having a guitar? I think that would be cool. If I get one, it’ll be my favorite color – Red.

Well after that we stopped by a Gamestop… and I felt a game calling out to my inner nerd “Buy me! Buy me!”… It was a Star Trek game. Yes, you heard right — Star Trek. I am a Star Trek fan… Not quite a trekkie, but I love Star Trek. So sue me. I’m a nerd. Get over it. Why am I being defensive anyways? I’m proud of my nerd heritage. While most guys solve their problems by crushing it with a rock… I think and work smarter, not harder…

So after that, we finally went back to work. I cracked 8 computers of their screwed up admin passwords and set them to our battalion’s default password… And that’s it.

I left work, and got my haircut — I didn’t quite need one… however tomorrow is my wisdom teeth surgery and I have NO intention of showing my chipmunked face in public until I have healed. Which could be awhile. I don’t know.

Then I went and bought all my jellos, puddings, gatorades, bread… Y’know… soft foods that will be the majority of my diet for the next few days. I am soooooo dreading this surgery tomorrow…
