New Baby Lunch *PICS*
So yesterday was my "shower" It was more of a lunch with some of my friends.
It was nice, less stressful, and less plannining, and most likely cost about the same.
We went to Asakusa, a local sushi resturant here. It was super yummy! I love sushi, and have been going to this one place for years.
I finally didn’t feel so frumpy yesterday because my sister took me out and bought me something that fits, and nicely. It felt good to not feel so just blahh.. I have been in tanks and hoodies for weeks now because it is all that fis well. Most of my maternity shirts I am struggling to keep down.
Anyways, my sister straigthened my hair so it looked nice. I always wish my hair was curly or straight, it is neither. Doing something too it takes work, work I have never felt like putting in every morning. Although I have noticed as I become a professional I need to learn to actually do my hair. The diference between the professors and students is how their hair is done.
I have pictures.
This is me at 33 weeks, 2 days or so.
Here is my eye make-up I thought it was cute. (I promise I mostuirze, but this baby has taken a noticeable wallop to my skin.)
My little Samara twirling as usual. Oh how I love this girl.
So the amusing story interjected in here. he kids were playing in the back yard as we were loading the van. We called them back and Samara came out first, and Sabastian came second toddling behind her. He was triumphantly holding a water bottle. This water bottle. NO clue where it came from. Maybe it is ours, maybe it is one of the construction crews which have been back there, or maybe it is one that blew over with many of the storms we have had.
We both started laughing at him, because if there is something to be found he will find it.
I then stated we were lucky it was water and not yellow.
Okay, maybe it was funnier if you were there.
Here is my attempt at the three of us, didn’t work.
We went to fort wayne, Samara on the way realized we needed a balloon for the baby, so we got one, and I stopped to look at diaper bags. SInce we no longer get them from the hospial I am scrambling to find one I like.
We got there and everyone was on time! It was amazing. I mean really some of the people are chronically late, not all of them, but a few.
I ordered my yummy sushi, the one on the left is an aloha roll, the one on the right is a texas roll.
I got a few presents, all of them I had been told about.
Samara got him a duck. I got lots of diapers, and a boppy! A cute little bear, a few sleepers, and a little plaque that says something like, "babies are proof that good thing come in small packages."
It was super nice. A bit crowded, but nice.
Everyone went home with a small favor, This is the front. It is a buttered almond white chocolate bar from debrands. People seemed excited about the chocolate. It is yummy.
We then went dress shopping but that is an adventure for another day my friends.
Overall, I am happy. with how it went. It was good to see friends, it was good to have it be low stress, and it was good to not have inlaws.
I have diapers now, which is a relief. One of my favs is actually sending me more. in another size.
I have a boppy now, something I have always wanted.
I am just waiting on money to buy the few more things I need. Like the car seat, diaper bag, wipes, sling, and batteries for the swing.
I should have money in the next 2-3 weeks I think to buy everything at once.
Other than that, it is a mater of cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning, and working on school work to work ahead, and then we just survive till may.
I am entering survival mode now…
I will survive I always do.

I’m glad you had a good time and I hope that you find a diaper bag that works and that you like. I’m having that issue for finding Gabe’s daycare bag. I want something with a little more life in it then a baby bag. I’m thinking about a back pack sort of thing… but I don’t know…

All the bags I’ve been looking at are either brown with pink flowers crap… or green with green paisley… or ducks or something frufru weird. I might just have to figure out how to make one and sew it up (like a messenger style bag). Until then, I guess I can try to shove the stuff Gabe needs for daycare in his SpongeBob backpack… and carry the rest in my arms.
