On little ladies turning 5!

Five years ago I was entrusted with the greastest of all gifts i had been given up until that point.

My arms untilt his point ached for somehting to fill it, and my heart hurt worse than the ache in my arms. There was only one thing that could fill them, and on March 17 my little family of 2 became a complete family of 3.

My little Samara arrived into our world at 322 in the morning Weighting 7lbs 3.9oz.

we named her Samara Pearl. Samara means guarded by God, and Pearl because her daddy loves mommy in pearls.

We took her home and I didn’t know much about babies. I cried some, she cried more, but gradually she grew, and grew all thanks to mommy milk! I look back on it now and she had my milk for almost half her life.

Daddy was in the army back then, and we lived miles away from everyone who loved us. As much as I miss the military some days I am glad we have roots, and family and a home.

She grew, and grew and I loved my little lady.

She had beautiful blue eyes, and a smile that melted my mommy heart.

I loved her, everything about her. Even though the first few years of her life were rough she was the glue that held us togther. At the end of a logn day I always got to come home to this sweet face. She would snuggle up to me and love me.

By the age of 2 I could no longer ignore what I had been seeing for months. She didn’t talk, had a hard time walking, and screamed a lot. It was deterimined she had severe delays in every aspect and she would need therapy. This would be the first in a long line of therapies. But with the help of some wonderful people I learned to understand my child who has a sensory disorder, and PDD-NOS.

After a year of in home therapy she turned 3!

She finally had hair, and was doing well. It would take us a year to get an actual diagnosis to have private therapies continued.

3 was a good year for us. Daddy worked a lot and We even bought our first house!

At the end of her 3rd year she began to ask for a baby sister. It didn’t take long for her to get her wish. By the time she was 4 mommy was pregnant!

She celebrated her 4th birthday in Chicago!

4 was a year full of therapy for us, and many changes. B moved in with us, and we had Baby Sabastian! Samara became a big sister and she is so happy. She is the best big sister I have ever met.

And now look at her she is now 5 years old!

I don’t know how she is so beautiful, or how I made such a fantastic little girl. I am privledged to be her mom, and to guide her through this world. She is the most amazing little person I have met, and I couldn’t even imagine my life without her.

So happy Birthday my little lady. I love you!
