Nobody knows your name

*sigh*

I’m really starting to get frustrated at the fact that Jake and I can’t agree on a name for baby girl. I don’t want it to come down to me going with my top pick just because he’s being stupid about it all, but I may have to. I mean, I get final say anyway, since Noah’s name was HIS choice, but I’d like him to have SOME input on it other than him simply saying he doesn’t like this name or that. He’s being stubborn is what it is. He likes Elizabeth and won’t even suggest anything else now. Well, too bad for him, because while I think Elizabeth is a lovely name, it’s not what I want to name my daughter…it just doesn’t feel right to me, you know? At least I’m giving him different options instead of just fixating on one name.

I’m a little ticked at my OB, too. Well, I guess technically she’s not my OB anymore, because apparantly she’s moving out of state soon and didn’t even bother to tell me. One of the other local mommies informed me of this tonight – a mommy was asking for OB recommendations because she’s newly pregnant, and when I mentioned my doc, another mommy shared the info. She’s a nurse at the hospital I’ll be delivering at and I guess they had a little going away party for my OB recently. Niiiiiice. I’m not exactly thrilled that I’m going to be shoved over to another doctor with less than 11 weeks to go.

Another big *sigh* at the fact that my little boy is growing up rapidly. He’s suddenly decided that one nap a day will be sufficient, I think. He only took one nap yesterday – I tried for a second and he just wasn’t having it. I tried again today and he may have slept a little, but it was only for a half hour tops. But, the nap he took yesterday and his good nap from today were at least two hours each, so I guess I can’t grumble too much.

We’re also planning on taking him to get his hair cut next weekend. I can’t believe he already needs one, but it is soooo long…it’s ridiculous! I mean, yeah, he had a lot of hair when he was born, but it was short and spiky and oh so adorable. Now it’s long and soft and still oh so adorable, but I hate having to brush his hair out of his eyes a million times a day.

Anyway. I need to do a little more cleaning and then get to bed, so enough procrastinating on here.

Good luck with the name search! Elizabeth is a beautiful name, but if you don’t want to name your daughter that then so be it. Maybe a middle name if he’s so adamant about it. It’ll come to you soon enough… don’t worry!

What is your top pick? Adam and I go back and forth about deciding on baby names and we’re not even considering having another baby for a long time. The boy name he picked is hideous and he is mad that I don’t like it. 😛 I can’t wait to see pics of Noah with his new haircut. I bet he’ll look even more handsome. 🙂

we liked elizabeth as a middle name (obviously) but not as a first b/c people tend to shorten it and end up calling the person lizzie or something… anyway, hope you can find one! p.s. is there anything you need/want for the little one?
