Can’t Decide

I need to get something to store Noah’s toys in. My mom has gone nuts buying toys for him and the system I have now simply is not going to work anymore. But I can’t decide on which of these I want to do….

There’s that, and I’d get some of those fabric cubes to put in it, like this:

Oooooorrrrr……

They both have their advantages and disadvantages. I think I’m leaning towards the first one though, as a big advantage of it is that I can anchor it to the wall and not have to worry about Noah tipping it over on himself.

What do y’all think?

we have some of the fabric cubes on clara’s changing table, but i like the idea of the first one being on the wall.

I’ll have to be different, but I’ll explain my reasoning. I like the second choice better because it would be much easier to keep organized than the first one. With the open-container design, you can easily see what goes where, whereas with the first one you would have to move the bins to see what goes where. We had shelving like the 2nd unit at the daycare I work at and it was great. Megan

I like the last one, but Noah not being able to pull down the first one makes it the obvious choice!

The last one is nifty.. buuuuut, sooner or later he’ll have all the buckets pulled out and whatnot. Something that really works for me is to get 2 large bins and put away half of the toys.. and keep the other half out (ours are in a big huge wicker chest in the livinroom that has a lid.. so the toys aren’t visible to others and we can also use it as a coffee table.. or even seating). You can rotate the toys weekly for a younger child and monthly for a toddler.

We have a couple of the 2nd kind and they work out great. They are a good height for a child to get out what they want, you can see what’s in them for easier getting out/putting away and the tubs are not destroyable. We have some of the fabric cubes and they can easily get crushed, etc if they get taken out and dumped by the child and then stepped on or something. So I say the 2nd one.

I think the first one.

I say go with the first one…Jaylin had the second one and it was more of a hassle than it needed to be as far as keeping things sorted and whatnot….I would go with the first for sure! Just my thoughts 🙂

I’m obviously the “different” one on this one, but we have the third one for Conner and we love it! This way we are able to take out a few “tubs” at a time and not have allll the toys out!
