I’m a film star… er… maybe not

Day 8 – It’s almost ready for Medhia to mow the grass.

I’ve decided my latest hobby will be video editing.  I learned how to do it in school and quite enjoyed it.  The only problem now is that I have no footage to edit.  I also forgot how complicated Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects can be.  It’s even harder when you don’t have any media.

I’m playing a prank on my mom, I’ve planted the seed that my Egyptian friend is getting a box of kleenex for Christmas.  In actuality, I’ve opened a box of kleenex and stuck her present inside.  As luck would have it, it fits perfectly.

Once she unwraps it, it will look like a box of tissues, if she pulls the top off, tissues will come out.  It will look just like I made a mistake.  I’m giving her the addon present first, that way she will get all excited and ready for her main gift.  I haven’t pulled a joke like this in years.  This could also be my first official video.  😁

If anyone has any ideas for a mini-movie, let me know.  Providing footage would be fantastic.

I finally managed to get my VPN up and running.  Now I have an extra secure connection to my server when I’m away from home, which is very seldom these days. 😥

It should take a few days for my disks to initialise, so I am going to take a Premier Pro course.  Maybe it will provide me with a movie to show off.

There isn’t much exciting going on in my life, which is why I need a hobby or something.  Who knows, maybe next year I’ll look for a part-time job or something.  Our company should have it’s first set of watches to sell in February/March 2018. When that happens, I should have something to do.  My overall role in the company isn’t defined, I’m just a co-founder and someone for my partner to talk with.

Well, It’s 10 p.m. and time to feed Medhia.  I’ll write more tomorrow.
