another weekend almost over

The first weekend of November is almost over. I can’t believe how few weekends of this deployment are left. From the beginning when I thought that time would never start moving to here, almost at the end. It’s fantastic!

Nicholai woke up at 4:15am again, well no since daylight savings kicked in at 2am he woke up at 3:15am and I was determined to get him back to sleep because there was no way in hell I wanted either of us to be up that early. I don’t know what is waking him up or what is making it so hard for him to get back to sleep… whatever it is I don’t like it. He was screaming, I mean blood curdling screaming at the top of his bloody lungs at 3:15 in the morning! I had to go in 3 times for about 10min a time over the next hour but he finally went back to sleep and……. he slept until 7:30am! Sweet. It sucks having to get up in the middle of the night but if it takes on hour to get him to go back to sleep so be it. I really don’t want him to start getting into the habit of coming in bed with me. We have enough habits to break once Chris comes home, I didn’t want to add another one. So I will just suffer through it. Maybe the molar that he has had coming in for the last 2 months is finally starting to break through? I’m hoping this waking up thing is just a phase…. a very short phase. Riiight.

I put him down early for a nap today so that we can try to go to the zoo in the afternoon. It closes at 5 and takes 30min to get there but if he is up around 2:45 and I nurse him fast, get him dressed then we might be able to make it out the door by 3:15 or sooner. I’m going to have everything ready, makeup on and hair brushed and dressed and his snack already made so I can just load us in the car after he nurses. It’s a small zoo so I figure an hour is all we really need. I will have to stop at the gas station on the way to pull out some money because they only take cash… but I may have some cash here so I don’t know.

I wrote out my To Do List for all the things that need to get done before we head out. Yeah… I have 16 days til we leave… and I have 25 things that need to get done. *smashes head into the wall* Thankfully Nicholai was being his normal self and let me get some cleaning done. I cleaned the laundry closet out and organized the shelf above the washer/dryer. I also went through all my clothes and got rid of a trash bag full of things that I will never wear again or will never fit into again *tear* but I have a lot more room on my side of the closet now so if I do buy some new clothes that fit me right they will have some place to go.

Ok… I got my entry in for the day! Yay! 7 days into NoJoMo and I haven’t missed one yet! *happy dance* And many of my favs are doing NoJoMo too so I have lots to read which is nice. NoJoMo is fun!!
