NoJoMo day 23 challenge 1 & 2
Challenge: What is the oldest iem that you own? How did you acquire it? How long do you plan to keep it? What kid of shape is it in? Does it have sentimental value?
When I first started thinking of the challenge I couldn’t think of anything that I have had for a really long time, but sitting here I just thought of something. Many years ago…. when I was around 7 or 8 years old my Grammommy used to travel all the time and every time she went somewhere she would bring me back something. When she went to Germany she brought me back nesting dolls and coins, she brought me candy from Poland with my name as the name of the chocolate. One of the things I have had the longest is a doll named Marie. She was brought to me from one of my Grammommy’s trips to Russia. Originally she was a music box doll. She has one of those wind-up things in the back and she played this pretty Russian lullaby. After a while the music box part didn’t work but I loved the doll so much that I decided to open her up and take out the music box part. I still have the doll now. I love that doll. She is dressed in pajamas and has sleepy eyes and a nightcap on her head. She is a little flimsy without the music box inside her but it doesn’t bother me.
Challenge: What things do you do on autopilot, without even thinking about them? Brushing your teeth? Putting on your seatbelt? List all the things you are programmed to do. How do you feel about doing them ‘mindlessly’? Anything you want to make a point to pay more attention to?
My nighttime routine is pretty set in stone. I always brush my teeth, wash my face, take out my contacts, and put my hair up every single night before I go to sleep and even if I happen to fall asleep before I do that I will wake up in the middle of the night over and over again until I get up and do it. Chris said that the night of his show after he got me home totally drunk that all he had to do was hold me up so that I didn’t fall and he didn’t have to worry about helping me do any of it because I am so used to doing it…. I just went through the motions.
Every time I get into a car I put my seatbelt on.
Before I started working I used to make oatmeal for my breakfast every morning.
I can’t think of any other things…. hmmm… I always put the seat back in my car if I pull it forward to get something from the back. I always roll my windows up no matter how hot it is outside….
Yeah… thats all I got.
wow it good you can do that stuff even when drunk
