if only the dream was real

Last night there was the most beautiful thunderstorm. The lightning was flashing and the rain was pouring down. The wind was wild, blowing through the trees with such force. I stood at the door and watched the storm… the sky light up, the boom of the thunder, the sound of the rain. I love thunderstorms. Even as wild as they are they leave me with this soothing feeling. I have always dreamed of watching a thunderstorm with my boyfriend, just sitting there in the magick of nature and holding each other. I kept picturing that in my mind as I went to bed with the storm still brewing. I pictured Rob and I sitting in my back yard under the roof… me in his lap and his arms around me. Us sitting in perfect silence, him kissing the top of my head softly. I dreamt about it last night. It was a peacful dream… I could smell him, like he was really there. His hands holding mine so softly, him whispering that he loves me in my ear. I woke up crying, but only because I was so happy. I wish so much that it wasn’t a dream… that it was real. I’m a hopeless romantic I know.

For the rest of the night I couldn’t sleep. I woke up every hour on the hour… thinking that I missed my alarm or something and then looking at the clock to see that it was only 1am or 2am or 3. It took forever to get to 5am so I could stop forcing sleep to come and I could roll myself out of bed for a shower.

Amanda and I text briefly this afternoon. Apparently I am still sleeping over her house on the 3rd so I guess that means that we are still doing the parade on the 4th. *fingers crossed* Its weird between her and I sometimes. We talk everyday for hours on end and hang out all the time, then nothing for weeks, then small conversations here and there that are a couple texts long. I guess her and Dave made up from the last time at the shore. I don’t think that I am going back…. or atleast not with them. I am planning on driving down to the shore by myself and sitting on the beach all day, then waiting for it to get dark, so I can just sit there by myself… watch the water, listen… I think I will do that for my birthday cause I have a feeling it won’t be anything exciting. *sigh*

Well… I have that to look forward to. I have to drop the shirt off tomorrow. I finally had the time to get the picture printed out and I got paid today so that means I can get the shirt done. I can’t believe that its Friday already. Thankfully… and the month is almost over! June went by so slow. I hope the rest of the summer doesn’t drag this way.

I never had the chance to read any more, maybe tomorrow…
