Ever Dream

In the dark of night a sleepless soul

longs for love out of her control

a soul mate lost to the eternal dark

a heart reaches out only to fall apart

for the air is all that she can grip

the rest slides through her fragile fingertips

tear filled eyes close agaisnt the pain

her attempts at true love may alass be in vain

and she sinks down to her ever dream

where everything and nothing is as it seems

fly by night and take the loneliness away

save her heart and let not her smile betray

for she knows her love is real

in her ever dream it is all she can feel

and nothing can take her hope this night
