Gone Away

The past seems so far now,

all the times we spent together,

all the issues you helped me survive,

our friendship ran so deep,

as if you were part of my blood,

interwoven into every inch of my being,

until you disappeared from my life,

leaving me torn and broken,

you took a part of me with you,

that void will never again be filled,

no one can replace what was stolen from me,

but if anyone is going to have a part of me,

it should be you,

and i will suffer on alone,

searching for someone who will love me the same,

who will protect me the way you did,

since you have gone away,

never to return.
