An attempt
I am going to force myself to write. And often. Maybe every day if I can manage it, but at least every second. And at least for the rest of the year. Hopefully that will be long enough to shock myself back into this writing about my life thing. Seriously, too much stuff is happening and I’m not recording it all which means one day I will forget it all. Like today, freakin baby girl who is still 2 months shy of being 2 years old… today she demonstrated that she can count to ten. I knew she could get to 4, maybe 5. But then I was counting how many scoops of sugar for my brownies and I paused at 5 and she kept going… she blows me away. She knows SO MUCH STUFF that is just… how. The other day during the first snow, we were looking out the window and she said "I like winter". Freaking smarts.
I just spent at least an hour catching up on uploading videos and pictures. Videos were only a week or so backed up. I hadn’t uploaded pictures since Halloween. Flan that was tiring. Because of the first snow a few days ago (first time of Ashley playing in the snow! 51 pictures to prove it!) I already have the same amount of photos for December as I did November. So I’m glad I got that done. I hate that I have become one of those "bloggers" (always hated that word in reference to myself but I can’t be bothered stopping this train of thought (choo choo!) to think of a better word) that writes infrequently and then doesn’t post pictures because that involves using the actual computer and whathaveyou. I understand it, but I still hate it.
On Saturday we went to see Kristen and Matt’s house. They bought a place a few months ago and we hadn’t been there yet. I managed to get food poisoning or something similar on the day of their housewarming party so we couldn’t go. Ashley seemed to like the place, which is good because we’ll be there in a week or so celebrating Christmas.
Sunday we took a road trip to New London so we could attend a Christmas party at Lisa’s work. Ashley got a present from Santa, which was a whole big thing because a little girl ran up and claimed Ashley’s gift first and no one really seemed to understand why a 6 or 7 year old getting a 2 year olds gift would probably upset everyone in the end. The gifts are of course age specific. Whole big blah. Eventually Ash got her present, and I’m glad she did because she loves it. It is a little tea set with daisy duck and Minnie mouse and the girls have snap on bows and dresses so you can change the outfits. Ash could care less about the tea set part but the two little dolls she ADORES and has been playing with all day. Cutie.
Yesterday was the first snow. Ashley and I went out twice because somehow it was above freezing so it wasn’t too terrible to hang out in. We made a snowman (the nice guy who delivers the bread to the restaurant made the bottom part, I can’t do that roll-the-snow-make-a-ball trick, never learnt…) and went for a walk and lots of other things.
Gotta go. Baby crying and my back is getting stiff in this chair.
Yay more Sez-writing! I’m moving house on Saturday!
