So many things and such

I have way too many things to write about, but I have no idea what they all are. I don’t even look at opendiary anymore, and I haven’t spent enough time with prosebox to get used to it so I avoid it (which yeah, really helps the not used to it… silly sez)

Today Ashley and I decorated a gingerbread house. Jake got a premade one that came with icing and candy and he had to decorate it for a competition for work. So Ashley and I did it. It was still done by the family, so it counts… I think we did a pretty good job. Really, I did it. Ashley sat with the bowl of candy and ate it/handed me candy to eat. She stuck one red thing on the roof and that was it. It’s pretty awesome looking, and I loved that the ‘glue’ was easily cleaned up by my sucking on the candies if I made a mistake. Hahah. Good thing it all tasted gross or I might be at risk of eating it.

On Monday we made gingerbread cookies. We have 2 left. Ashley had lots of fun making it, although of course she didn’t do much. I gave her a little dough and some cutters, but she just picked at the dough. She thought it was AWESOME. I’m kinda sad that we are out of the cookies, but I can easily make more.

I tried to buy chirstmas presents on amazon yesterday but all the things I really wanted won’t ship to the PO Box, which sucks butts. I can just go to a store and get things but it would be so much easier to just go to the post office and pick it all up.

Ashley is so in love with beanies and gloves lately, which is fantastic. She wears them around the house. She can take her gloves off, and she can put the beanie on herself, and it just makes it all so much easier to take her outside in this cold weather, even if it has been warm enough the last few days that we don’t need gloves. I know we will soon so I’m glad she is awesome. She has decided that her plain pink beanie is mine and so she makes me wear it sometimes. In fact, I’m wearing it as I write it. It claims it is a one size fits all, and it really does. It fits Ashley and it fits me and Jake, all fairly well. Of course on us it is a bit small but who cares. Not like we are wearing it outside.

Each night Ash has some naked time before bed. One day a week or so ago, she was playing on the rug (I don’t know why!) whilst naked and she pooped. And then walked in it. And then howled and cried and carried on until we cleaned her up, because she was dirty! It could have been anything and she would have acted that hysterically. It was actually kind of funny… once I cleaned up the smooshed poop from the rug of course.

I had to get my windshield replaced this week. On my ‘new’ car that I bought 2 months ago. A stupid rock or something chipped the windshield right in my line of sight while driving so they wouldn’t just fix it because it would make a blurry spot and that is unsafe, which yeah, sure, but what an expensive arse. The good thing was, I had birthday money from Jake’s mum and stepdad, and from my parents, that I hadn’t spent yet. And that covered it. So… birthday gift of glass? It got fixed nice and quick, which was good, and I paid I think $20 extra to get the dude to come to me instead of me going somewhere, so it was extra easy. He was a bit late, and apologetic, but it worked out perfect because Ashley had just woken up from her nap when it was time for us to get dressed and go out to the car to greet the dude. And then we played in the restaurant (that was completely empty of customers so Ash was allowed to run around) for the half hour it took the guy to do the work. Yay.

Right before naked time each night, lately we have been watching MJ videos on youtube via the wii. Ashley sings her own version of ‘billie jean (peechees ma noon, *mumble mumble* girl *mumble mumble* one)’, and she can sing part of blame it on the boogie "sunshine, moonlight… blah blah, boogie" and it is just fantastic and adorable.

Did I mention that we did thanksgiving by ourselves last week? Can’t remember if I have written since/about that. We had a 16lb turkey so we only finished that last night… or… there might be a little dark meat still. And we have one serving each left of a turkey pot pie that was AMAZING (the brine-infused flavours from the turkey got throughout the veggies and sauce and just .mmmmmmmm)

Ashley’s show (Super Why) just finished and now she wants to help Mummy with the buttons so I better stop and save this or risk it being deleted!
