Titles are too hard…

We were meant to go to Kristen and Matt’s place yesterday for a house-warming party. Instead, I woke up at 2am feeling decidedly carpy in the tummy. Didn’t get up (because if I move Ashley wakes up and cries… yargh) until 7, but I couldn’t really go back to sleep, so I was EXHAUSTED by 7am when I finally decided to get up. And then because I had been awake for so long, I was too weak to make my breakfast, but Jake had gone to work even though it was a Saturday. They begged and begged for him to work, so he did… anyway. I made my breakfast on the floor, so Ashley started eating the dry cereal ("Eat backfass. So good!") while I went to get the milk and sit in front of the fridge drinking juice so I had some sugar in my system so I could stand and walk AND carry a bowl of cereal. Got the food to the table before I had to run off and throw up the juice, but then I felt not-nauseous and breakfast was delicious. That is so weird to me, how amazing food tastes after I throw up. I remember that from being pregnant. It was grand.

The rest of the day I was exhausted and weak, couldn’t get much food in because… I don’t know, I was too tired? I just lazed. Had a headache too because I though coffee on a just-evacuated stomach would be a bad idea. Stupid coffee headache. Ashley and I watched a LOT of Jackson. It was so much easier when I was sick when she was younger and just ate boob, so hard having to get up and get her real food at proper times. She napped for 3 hours though which was lovely for me, I actually slept with her for once. Mmm. And then there was a Jake at home so even though I felt pretty much better, I was happy to have him home to take care of us so I could be truly lazy.

So we didn’t go to the party. I feel bad. Haven’t seen their new place yet. We will eventually… but yeah.

Today we went grocery shopping nice and early, something I needed to do yesterday. Ashley had a good time, she had a big spoon and then she had a car and then she had an apple so she had lots of toys to play with! They had thanksgiving-related things on special and they had these big stainless steel spoons and I need spoons like that for serving mashed potatoes (to replace our ridiculously crappy thin plastic service spoons) so we got some and that makes me happy because I am old. I owe Jake some money from the thanksgiving fund. Ashley saw a display of hot wheels cars and picked out a cute blue one. She loved it and held it the rest of the trip but I snuck it away when I put her in the car so I think that will be a small Christmas present.

This evening we were watching more Jackson stuff. I was smart and converted the ‘private home movies’ files I had to AVI so we could watch them on the tv via the usb hole. So that was fun. Fucking terrible quality but that’s kinda to be expected I guess. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually watched it in proper quality…

Remind me to put "sweep the stairs" on my to do list, ok? Ashley refused to climb them by herself today because she got dirty. Stupid stairs.

I’m sure no-one would have wanted you at the house-warming feeling tummy-carp and fainting. Yay for big spoons. One thing about housework – it never ends….
